Limestone Repair, Restoration and Preservation
Limestone is a soft and elegant stone. Repairing and restoring this stone is easier than a harder stone like granite. However, no stone ever reacts the same. Limestone has larger pores and is more likely to take on stains than granite.
Stone Buff, LLC can poultice out stains, provide you with a variety of finish options, repair cracks and chips, fill in divots and fissures, etch removal, color enhancing, clean and maintain your limestone investments.
Limestone needs to be sealed and maintained at least once a year, sometimes more often depending on the finish selections and the usage.
TIP: Don't use cleaning products above or below 7.0 - 9.0 pH balance for cleaning your limestone. This stone etched easily and using an acid based (below 7.0pH) or an alkaline rich cleaner (above 9.0 pH) can really compromise the aesthetics and longevity of your limestone.
